    • YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO TAKE A DRIVING SAFETY COURSE FOR SOME VIOLATIONS IF ALL OF THE FOLLOWING APPLY TO YOU:

      You have a valid Texas Driver’s License;

      You have a valid liability insurance policy;

      You have not taken a Driving Safety Course for another ticket in the previous 12months from the date of this ticket;

      You were not speeding 25 MPH or more over the posted speed limit or over 94 MPH

      You were not in a construction zone with workers present.

      You do not have a Texas Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

      To request driver's safety course you must submit your driver's license, proof of insurance, and written request to jp4@austincounty.com

      The court will respond with all instructions and payment information. DO NOT take class until you receive court approval.

  • Judge Burger performs wedding ceremonies in the courtroom or off-site. Weddings are scheduled by appointment only. Cost is contingent on the venue location and time.

    A marriage license is required. The marriage license must be purchased at least 72 hours before the ceremony unless you have a waiver. The wedding must be performed no more than 89 days after the marriage license is purchased.
