FULL-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - In accordance with the employment policies of Austin County, notice is given that the Austin County Judge’s office is accepting applications for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant. This position will report to the County Judge and the County Treasurer.  This position will assist the Senior Administrative assistant with computer work, paperwork and filing.  This position will also be responsible for answering phones and emails and direct visitors and callers to the proper location and provide requested information.  Other job duties could include but are not limited to copying paperwork, preparing for events and meetings and keeping the office in a presentable state.  Job requirements include sitting for extended times, walking, occasionally carrying heavy boxes and the ability to endue unsettling personalities.  The requirements for this position are subject to change at any time.  Please return applications to the County Judge’s office at 1 East Main, Bellville, TX 77418.  Applications will be accepted until position is filled.  EEO

FULL-TIME MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - In accordance with the employment policies of Austin County, notice is given that the Austin County Judge’s office is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Supervisor.  This position will report to the County Judge.   This position will be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the county buildings.  Some light custodial work may be included on occasion.  The position may be expanded to include oversight of some county vehicles.  The requirements for this position are subject to change at any time.  Applications may be returned to the County Judge’s office at 1 East Main, Bellville, TX 77418.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.  EEO

FULL TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT –  In accordance with the employment policies of Austin County, the Austin County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications and resumes for one (1) Full-Time Administrative Assistant. In general terms, duties shall include working with purchase orders, data entry and other office support functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and be able to multi –task in a timely fashion. Benefits: Paid Holidays - Paid Vacation - Retirement Plan - Health Insurance. Starting salary for this position is $16.00 per hour. FULL TIME JAILERS - In accordance with the employment policies of Austin County, the Austin County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for Full-Time Jailers.  TCOLE Certification is preferred, but not necessary at the time of hiring.  TCOLE Certification is required within one year of employment.  Overtime is paid after 80 hours worked in a two week pay period.  Must be available to work various shifts.  Applications are available at the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, 417 N. EMERGENCY SERVICES DISPATCHERS - Receives emergency calls  from  the public  and dispatches appropriate emergency services. Must be 18 years of age or older - US Citizen - High School Diploma or equivalent. No convictions for anything above a B Misdemeanor - Favorable Employment and Credit History. Must have the ability to multi- task while working under pressure exercising good judgement in emergency situations.  Must have  good computer  and reading skills - must be able to project voice over the radio in a clear manner. Successful applicant will have to pass a comprehensive background check, medical and psychological, drug screen and oral interview. No experience necessary - we will train.
