The greatest precaution we can all take from the Covid 19 is to stay home if you are sick. If you have symptoms, stay away from older people, especially those who have respiratory issues already. You CAN NOT get Covid 19 over the phone! Call your friends and relatives to check on them, you don't have to cut yourself off from society, but use common sense. Call Grandma and Grandpa, tell them you are ok. That will ease their mind as well. If you're sick, don't spread it around. If you have symptoms such as fever and chest pain with a cough, call your doctor. If you have Teledoc or a vitrual doctor service with your insurance, use it. Don't go to the hospital and get others sick. While the weather is nice, go outside and get some fresh air and some sun. The most important thing you can do for yourself and your family is not to panic. Even if you do contract Covid 19, most likely you will recover. Some may never know they have it. Light cases can appear similar to allergies which are rampant this time of year as well. Stay clean, wash your hands and don't put your fingers in your mouth or around your face. And if you cough, don't cough on everyone and everything! It's really no different than the precautions you should take to prevent getting the flu. Those with XM radios in their vehicles, listen to Channel 121. It's supposed to work even if your subscription isn't current. It's the Docs from NYU. They provide current and straightforward information without all the hype. We will get thru this together.
