Emergency Preparedness

An emergency operations center, or EOC, is a central command and control facility responsible for carrying out the principles of emergency preparedness and emergency management, or disaster management functions at a strategic level in an emergency situation to ensure the continuity of disaster response and recovery.Austin County’s Emergency Operation Center (EOC) will sponsor an open house Monday June 3^rd from 5 to 7:30 P.M. in the Austin County Basement Meeting Room.  First Responders, CERT Members and the public are urged to attend this “come and go” opportunity to receive emergency preparedness information and learn about the measures taken to respond to potential disaster.
